Ideally, the drop shipper or the company that owns the inventory will give you lower price for drop ship items that you sell so the discount is your profit margin, i.e.
-> drop shipper perfume: $50.00 per bottle less 30% drop shipping discount = $35.00
-> on your site or eBay, you will sell it for $50.00
-> your profit: $50.00 - $35.00 = $15.00
note: Some drop shippers will offer free shipping to certain areas. But if the buyer is not covered, you may charge the buyer of the shipping fee so that you may get your $15.00 profit in full.
Easy money? Well, no such thing. Because you will have to promote your website so that online shoppers will go and buy from your site. As they say, don't wait for the rain, make use of a water sprinkler and nurture your plant so it will grow.
